Alejandro Hernández and Ainara Fernández win the 12th Tennis Europe Under 14 tournament. The Spaniards won the 12th edition of the tournament at the beginning of September. International Tennis Europe Under 14 Tournament “Juan Fuster Zaragoza” which was held at the Lope de Vega International School in Benidorm. A tournament that has become a well-established event and featured the participation of 130 young players from all over Europe.
In the Men's Individual Category, Alejandro Hernández defeated his compatriot Adra Velázquez in the final, claiming victory. Meanwhile, in the Women's Category, the young Ainara Fernández triumphed, playing the final against Selma Hohmann from Germany.
In the doubles category, the men's champions were Mario Lozano and Ángel Minguez, while Javier de Francisco and Alexey Zhilkin were the finalists.
Finally, the women's doubles champions were Alexia Paula Bastos and Ainara Fernandez, who defeated the tandem formed by Isabella Johri and Elizabeth Prangley in the final.
The President of the Sports Club and head of the Lope de Vega private school, Vicente Fuster, congratulated the winners and thanked the coaching staff, led by Alfonso Bacaicoa. Fuster emphasized that “this tournament is special for us because it has already celebrated its 12th anniversary and bears the name of our founder, Juan Fuster Zaragoza, who was inspired to establish this school by the values of sport. The Tournament Director, Alfonso Bacaicoa, pointed out that “this prestigious tournament is part of the Tennis Europe Circuit, which is held throughout the continent and has brought together in Benidorm these days the promising young European tennis players.”
Bacaicoa wanted to emphasize that "this tournament, which has become a benchmark in its category, has hosted players of the caliber of Bernabe Zapata, Jaume Munar, Aliona Bolsova, Alex de Minaur, Paula Badosa or the current world number 1 Carlos Alcaraz."




5 major events
In addition to this Tennis Europe Under 14 Tournament, there are five major sporting events held at the school throughout the year.
