The facilities of the Lope de Vega International School host the different matches in which 12 teams participate.
The pitches of the Lope de Vega International School are hosting the 1st Carmen Pérez González Regional 8-a-side Football Tournament. This inaugural edition features teams from across the Marina Baixa region, competing in the Under-10 and Under-12 categories.
The Carmen Pérez González 8-a-side Football Tournament runs from Monday, June 28th to the 30th. A total of 12 teams are participating. The Under-10 category will play on Monday and Tuesday, while the Under-12s will take to the field on Wednesday.
This Monday, Atlético Benidorm secured first place after defeating Altea in a penalty shootout.
This Tuesday, the Benjamines of CF Foietes, FC Atlético Benidorm, CFUE Finestrat, FC Atlético Benidorm and CD Lope de Vega will face each other.
According to the organizers of this first edition, "the idea is to expand the tournament year after year. We hope that the next edition can be played at a national level and later hold an International 8-a-side Football Tournament with teams from different countries."
The President of the Sports Club and head of the Lope de Vega International School, Vicente Fuster, emphasized “our firm commitment to sports. At the school, we are passionate about sports, and thanks to this enthusiasm, we want to promote sporting activity at all levels. A prime example of this is the creation of this first Carmen Pérez González 8-a-side Football Tournament.”
