As part of the College's commitment to sports, it is worth highlighting the close collaboration developed with the Polytechnic University of Valencia, specifically with its Chair of Sports. In this regard, the Active Tourism and Sports Event Organization Course will be presented next week. This specialization course for tourism and sports professionals responds to the diversification needs of the local economy.
The presentation will take place on September 29th in the Benidorm Town Hall auditorium at 19 pm. There will be three presentations given by leading professionals who have worked in the field of sports tourism within both the public and private sectors.Former national basketball coach Javier Imbroda will discuss his years leading the Sports Department in the Málaga City Council and the policies implemented to promote sporting events in the city. Jesús Ruiz, organizer of athletics and mountain triathlon events, will address the growing popularity of running and the increased demand for these types of events, along with their corresponding economic impact. Completing the panel of speakers is Mateo Castellá, who, in his role as Regional Director of Sports for the Valencian Government, promoted initiatives that combined the tourism and sports sectors.
At the end of the presentations there will be a round table moderated by the Course Director and Director of the Chair of Sport at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, César Iribarren.
- An online course that adapts to all schedules
The course aims to equip students with the necessary tools and skills to start a sports tourism business and to organize large-scale events. It is aimed at professionals who work in the field of tourism and sports with entrepreneurial and business initiative.
It will be taught in the months of October and November and in an online format, through a digital platform, facilitating attendance due to its flexible schedule.
