Color and the circus have been the protagonists of the Lope de Vega International School carnival in 2023. The chosen theme fostered, through the circus arts, body awareness, expression and communication; as well as sociability and creativity.
Early Childhood Stage
In Early Childhood Stage The carnival lasted for a whole week, beginning on Monday, February 13th and culminating on Friday, February 17th with the costume parade as the grand finale. During this time, various events were prepared where humor and expression through different forms of communication played a fundamental role.
In addition, slogans were incorporated, a highly enriching and fun tradition for the students. These were cumulative and as diverse as: red nose, tie, bow tie, different colored socks, wig, or clown hat. Each day the students brought one of these fun slogans, and another was added the following day.
Children, taking advantage of the circus theme, also made a trip to Elche to enjoy "A day at the circus" and a ride on an animated mini-train.
Primary Stage
In Primary Stage The slogans have also been a highlight during carnival week: from going to school in pajamas to wearing a different shoe on each foot, a crazy hairstyle or funny glasses.
During this period, the carnival also played an important role throughout the week, and a large number of crafts were made to transform the school into "The Great Lope Circus".
The highlight of the day was the costume parade. A large red carpet in the pavilion allowed all the primary school classes to parade under the watchful eyes of the younger children. Human cannonballs, mimes, clowns, magicians, and harlequins were among the performers. The school was filled with color and circus spirit!
Middle School
Just as happened with the celebration of Halloween, this 2022-23 academic year Middle School She joined the carnival celebration, participating in the festivities with the rest of the school. Therefore, this stage also had its own parade with its corresponding awards ceremony. Prizes were awarded for everything from the most original costumes to the best-dressed and the most charming.
