Next Wednesday April 30at 15:30hThe opening ceremony of the “Lope de Vega-Ferrer Tennis Academy” will be held, with the presence of the tennis player from Jávea and fifth-ranked player in the world, David Ferrer.
The event will begin with an exhibition by the tennis player, who will play with the students of the Academy for more than an hour and to which all the families of the School who wish to attend are invited.
The event will also serve as the official presentation of the "Sports Excellence" Award (S10 Brand) granted to the school, certifying the safety of its facilities. Former Valencia player Santiago Cañizares, in his capacity as national delegate of the European Group for Sports Management and Consulting (GEGASDE), will present the award.
David Ferrer collaborates with the COINLOVE Students Club Solidarity Project
The tennis player has shown his compassionate side by participating in the COINLOVE Students Club Project, run by 4th-grade students to help children from disadvantaged families. He will meet with a group of students to learn more about this project focused on combating child poverty. He has also donated several t-shirts and a racket signed by him, which will be raffled off during the day to raise funds and contribute to the important humanitarian work being done by our students.
Starting Tuesday the 29th, raffle tickets can be purchased at a stand located in the school for the symbolic price of 1 euro. Ferrer has also donated a selection of books that will be available for purchase at the same stand.
