Nineteen students from Lope de Vega participate in the XXXII Mathematical Olympiad

This Saturday, April 2nd, at the IES L'Arabí  de l'Alfàs del Pi,  The regional phase of the XXXII Mathematical Olympiad. Lope de Vega International School is participating this year with nineteen primary and secondary school students. In an individual test, they all had to solve five problems, demonstrating their intuition, reasoning, imagination, and deduction skills. The participating students were:

FEILI CHEN – HUGO HERAS SOLIS – OLIVER CLAVAÍN NICOLÁS – JIA LE NI (6th grade)

CRISTIAN VALERO CATALÁ – JIAHAO NI – ROBERT LOPATENCO – ADRIÁN RUÍZ GÓMEZ – LUÍS MARÍA SÁNCHEZ QUESADA – BESSACI  (1ESO (Secondary))

OU YANG ZHOU – RUI RAN HUANG (3ESO (Secondary))

RUIWEN HUANG – ALBERT GIURGIU – ANDREI PETROV – ALBERTO CABEDO CARRERAS (4ESO (Secondary))

The aim of this Olympiad is to promote mathematics through problem-solving, to foster a positive attitude towards mathematics among students and society in general, to enhance the enjoyment of problem-solving through an educational, fun and creative activity, and to promote coexistence, the exchange of ideas and friendship between students and teachers.

After the test, the students received a t-shirt, a diploma and a memento of their participation in a festive atmosphere.

We wish them all the luck in the world to overcome the regional phase and be able to access the provincial phase, which will take place on Saturday, May 7th at the CEIP Luis Gosálbez in Tibi.
