On Sunday, December 11, a total of 10 students from the 4th year of ESO at Lope de Vega International School traveled to Italy thanks to the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
This was a short-term exchange, so the students spent a total of seven days at the Istituto Istruzione Superiore Carlo Emilio Gadda (Italy), until December 18th. Lope de Vega International School has been collaborating and carrying out exchanges with this institute for 13 years. During November, our school hosted five students, also in their fourth year of secondary school (4º ESO), who lived, shared, and worked with our students for a whole month.
E-motions Project
The students worked on the E-motions Project. Through this project, they investigated the effects of emotions and the substances the brain produces as a result. They also enjoyed visiting the cities of Milan, Como, and Monza. In Monza, they were received by the mayor and had the opportunity to explain the project to him.
Families
These exchanges would not be possible without the close collaboration of the families. This includes both the Italian families with whom our students have lived for a week and the families at our school. On April 29, 2023, these families will be hosting the Italian students.
Therefore, the International Department would like to thank the families for their trust and participation, and for offering their children this unique and enriching opportunity.
Project continuity
The project doesn't end with the exchange, as the students will maintain weekly contact with their Italian counterparts for the next few months. This way, they will continue working on the project and will finally receive their Italian exchanges on April 29, 2023.
