Yesterday, November 3, a delegation from Benidorm Lions Club He met with the head of the Lope de Vega International School, Vicente Fuster, and the Educational Director of the School, María F., with the aim of renewing and expanding their collaboration agreement.
Lions Costa Blanca Camp
The meeting assessed the results of Lions Costa Blanca Camp 2022 Thanks to an agreement between the two organizations, the camp was held at the school during the month of August. Twenty young people between the ages of 18 and 22 from different parts of the world attended. For 15 days, they enjoyed cultural and leisure activities in our town, integrating themselves with the local youth.
The Lope de Vega Sports Club will continue to host the camp in 2023. The collaboration agreement involves offering a nominal fee for accommodation and meals. The funds raised are then donated by the Lions Club to the Lope de Vega Sports Club to cover the costs of sports registrations.
Internationality and solidarity
Furthermore, at this meeting, the renewal of said agreement and the expansion of joint activities and actions in coordination with the LdV Solidarity Youth Club were agreed upon.
The Lions Club is a global organization with more than 1,5 million members in 206 countries. Its motto, “We Serve,” perfectly illustrates its goal of providing community service to anyone in need.
The distinctly international character of both institutions and the solidarity values they both profess are the two fundamental pillars on which the collaboration that was renewed yesterday is based.
