Today in Alicante, SM Publishing presents the educational experience of our Lope de Vega School. Our advisor, Professor Robert Swartz, will showcase the methodology, based on critical thinking, to the school community. More than 4.500 education professionals are attending the SM Savia events in Madrid and Valencia.
Lope de Vega School has been chosen as a benchmark for pedagogical innovation in Spain. Specifically, its application of the Thinking Methodology has been recognized as an example of adapting teaching to the new challenges of the 21st century.
The presentation of the school's experience is part of the Savia event, organized by the publisher SM, which will tour eight Spanish cities from March 11th to April 8th. The program features several internationally renowned speakers in the field of educational innovation, such as Richard Gerver and our advisor, Dr. Robert Swartz. It is during Dr. Swartz's presentation that the video from Lope de Vega School is shown, in which the Head of Education, Ms. Áurea González, and several of our teachers explain some aspects of the implementation of the Thinking Program at the school.
The Savia Events aim to motivate the educational community and its various stakeholders to embrace renewal; they seek to foster a positive attitude towards change that will allow for the introduction of new working methodologies. The next event will take place at the Alicante Conference Centre on Tuesday the 18th, and, as in the other cities that have already hosted it, it is fully booked.
This recognition encourages us to continue along the path of innovation that we started a few years ago and of which we are tremendously proud in view of the excellent academic results that our students achieve every day.
