The school participates in the III CICAE National Debate Tournament

This weekend, the first phase of the III CICAE National Debate TournamentThe Lope de Vega International School has presented a team made up of four 3rd year ESO students: María, Sarah, Valeria and Anabel.
It was the first time the students had competed together and, although they did not qualify for the final phase due to their inexperience, the experience was excellent and all four left very satisfied.
The students were accompanied by their Language and Literature teacher, Óscar Cortina, and their coach, Miguel Salguero. On Friday, they participated in two debates, and on Saturday morning, they participated in a third, which they successfully won. They were the youngest team participating in the competition, with members aged only 13 and 14, competing against teams aged 17 and 18.
On Saturday afternoon, they attended the final debates and then returned to Alicante by train. The girls' parents, thrilled with their daughters' performance on Saturday, greeted them at the station with a bouquet of flowers for each of the "great champions." All four are already eager to participate in the next tournament to continue developing their skills and enjoying public speaking.
