During the month of February, handball players José Oliver and Lucía Torá visited the High Performance Biomechanics Laboratory in Benidorm, located at the Lope de Vega International School.
Support during the clinical phase
Both players have undergone clinical phases of their injury recovery at the Benidorm High-Performance Biomechanics Laboratory. Both José Olivar's injury (labrum) such as Lucía Torá's (anterior cruciate ligament), required surgery. Thanks to the work carried out in the Biomechanics Laboratory of the Lope de Vega International School and the supervision of José Manuel Escribano, a member of the Asobal team's coaching staff and director of the Laboratory, Lucía Torá is very close to returning to the court and José Olivar has already been able to return.
Scientific support
José Manuel Escribano points out that “scientific support throughout the entire process is crucial for addressing the different stages. It becomes especially important in the final stretch, where the athlete must feel safe and confident to compete and return to activity at full performance.”
