The Lope de Vega participates in the UNESMUN meeting

Lope de Vega International School participated last April in the UNESMUN, the official Model United Nations conference. This participation was made possible because the school is part of the UNESCO Associated Schools.

On April 21, 22 and 23, the Virgen del Rocío School in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) hosted the  VII Model United Nations Plan of UNESCO Associated SchoolsThis year, in-person classes resumed, so the students experienced the meeting with great excitement and enthusiasm. Three fourth-year students participated. ESO from Lope de Vega.

Representing Iraq

Students from Lope de Vega High School participated in this seventh edition of the Model UN, representing Iraq. In their simulation, the students took on the roles of representatives from four different United Nations bodies. Their objective as representatives of Iraq was to pass resolutions aimed at addressing a series of real-world problems.

Model United Nations (MUN)

Born at Harvard University in the 1950s, the Model United Nations (MUN) applied to education aims to foster dialogue among young people, promoting values ​​such as cooperation and reaching agreements through debate. In other words, the MUN is geared towards to forge a culture of peace, fundamental for building a fairer world with less inequality.
