The Lope de Vega participates in and sponsors the solidary run in aid of Aspanion “On the Front Lines,” held last Sunday, September 24th, was an initiative launched by the Benidorm Local Police in collaboration with the City Council and the city's Athletics Club. Its aim was to raise funds for childhood cancer support programs.

More than 1.250 people participated in the first "On the Front Line" charity race in support of Aspanion. Among them were students of all ages from Lope de Vega School, as well as teachers and families from the private school, who ran for children affected by childhood cancer. Races ranged from short distances, such as 50 meters for babies and children up to 5 years old, to 10 kilometers for adults. A 5-kilometer walk was also held so that everyone could participate.




Raised on childhood cancer
The Lope de Vega has been around for years raising awareness in their community about childhood cancerAs a result, he participates in various events, fundraisers, and sponsorships, such as this race. The first edition of "On the Front Line" raised over €22.000, which was allocated to Aspanion's programs providing psychological, social, and economic support.
After the races, the vice president of Aspanion Comunidad Valenciana, Alejandro López, greeted the athletes and thanked them for their social and financial support of the organization. Following his remarks, a manifesto was read in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Thanks to the values of solidarity, self-improvement, commitment and mutual support, the day was enjoyed that exceeded all expectations of success in its first edition.
