Lope de Vega International School commemorates its founders, Don Juan Fuster and Doña Carmen Pérez González, on its 67th anniversary. The celebration took place last Wednesday, March 8th, the school's founding day.

Activity program
With the purpose of enabling students to share activities, interact, and get to know each other the history of the Center and experience the wonderful feeling of belonging to an educational community; a full program of activities followed, including a flower offering, singing of the anthem, hot chocolate, and the awarding of institutional prizes, among others.

One of the most emotional moments of the day was the offering of flowers to the founders, which was attended by the Infant students and the school choir singing the anthem of the Lope de Vega International School.




















Institutional awards
The institutional awards organized by the school cover different disciplines: literature, photography, mathematics, and sports. Specifically, the “Juan Fuster Zaragoza Short Story Competition” celebrated its 24th edition this year. Furthermore, the The “Carmen Pérez González Mathematical Photography Contest,” which this year focused on symmetry as a common theme between both disciplines, celebrated its 5th edition. In addition, the sports awards for the table tennis, touch tennis, and padel tournaments were presented.


































A story linked to Benidorm
Furthermore, due to the connection that the school has with the municipality of Benidorm, in the afternoon the 5th grade students performed a reenactment of the Discovery of the Virgin of Suffrage. patron saint of the town, in an adaptation of the original theatrical work of La Barqueta.
After that, they performed the traditional "peuet" dance in traditional Benidorm attire.






















Personalities on Founders' Day
In addition, this year's celebrations included a very special guest, the Bishop of the Diocese of Orihuela-Alicante, D. José Ignacio Munilla, who officiated the Mass in honor of the Founders and later met with a group of young people whom he encouraged to attend the World Youth Meeting, which is being held this year in Lisbon.
