It is with great pride that we share some very special news that highlights the values of our institution and demonstrates the potential of our young people. This past weekend, our primary school students Roman, Marcel, Jaime, and Diego, along with secondary and high school students Ouyang, Jaime, Cristian, and Rui Yang, represented our school at the 9th Spanish School Team Chess Championship for Under-12 and Under-18 students, held in Guardamar del Segura.

Although the school chess club was only started two months ago, our students have shown remarkable adaptation and performance. Their first foray into a championship of this magnitude has proven more than promising, facing experienced players and demonstrating high-level chess skills.

This event was not only a competition, but also an invaluable opportunity for our students to develop and test critical skills such as intellectual capacity, memory, attention, decision-making, concentration, and discipline. From Friday to Sunday, the students enjoyed and immersed themselves in this wonderful intellectual sport, experiencing an enriching and memorable experience.

We are deeply proud of your participation and the results achieved. This is a clear example of the spirit of perseverance and excellence that we foster at Lope de Vega School.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our chess program and to our young players for their dedication and effort. We're moving forward with even more enthusiasm to continue achieving success!
