Next Wednesday, April 13th, the Lope de Vega International School will host its second annual Open Day for Vocational Training and Sports Programs. The aim of this event is to showcase the wide range of vocational qualifications offered by the school, a range that has grown exponentially year after year, making it a leading institution in the province of Alicante.
Currently, the College offers 3 higher-level degrees (Higher Technician in Early Childhood Education -TSEI-, Higher Technician in Animation of Physical and Sports Activities -TAFAD- and Higher Technician in Administration and Finance -TSAF-); 2 intermediate-level degrees (Technician in Administrative Management -TGA- and Technician in Conducting Physical and Sports Activities in the Natural Environment -TCAFMN-) and 5 Sports Educations (Sports Technicians in Football, Basketball, Lifesaving and First Aid, Medium Mountain and Diving).
The day will begin at 9:30 with an official welcome from the school administration. Following this, students will be divided into groups based on their interests. The coordinators and teachers from each program will show them what a typical school day is like, give them a tour of the school facilities, and answer any questions they may have about the course program and the career opportunities available after graduation.
Given the success of last year's event, a free bus will depart from the Salto del Agua area to facilitate attendance for those interested, after prior registration at www.lopedevega.es.
This week the new Diving Cycle has begun
This year, three new sports programs have been added: Lifesaving and First Aid, Mountaineering, and Scuba Diving. The first two will begin in September, while the Scuba Diving course started this week.
The Sports Technician in Scuba Diving course, organized by the Lope de Vega school in collaboration with the Diving Stones Diving Club, will be mandatory from next year for teaching scuba diving and conducting introductory dives. This course is the only one of its kind in the province of Alicante.
