Building a better world from the classroom
To Lope de Vega International SchoolThe celebration of the World Day of Peace and Non-Violence every January 30th is a special opportunity to reflect on and act upon the fundamental values that we transmit and in which we educate our students.
A Celebration Full of Meaning
The students were the stars of a special day where creativity and commitment came together for a common cause. The reading of the peace manifesto was one of the most moving moments, where our students raised their voices for a more just and peaceful world.
Creativity in the Service of Peace
The Peace Wall project, created with decorated tissue boxes, has been a perfect example of collaboration between different educational levels. Each box, transformed by the hands of our students, has become a canvas on which to express messages of hope and coexistence. This week, students from preschool and primary school worked alongside older students decorating the boxes.

Educating for a Better Future
Education in values such as peace and non-violence goes beyond a simple celebration. It is a fundamental tool for forming conscious and engaged citizens. Educating in these principles also entails developing empathy and understanding towards different cultures and realities, fostering critical thinking and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, creating positive role models for our society, and cultivating responsibility and solidarity.
LDV Student Profile
This day is a perfect occasion to highlight the attributes that define the LDV student profile, social students and role models for society as a whole.

Celebrating the International Day of Peace and Non-Violence at our school is not just another activity on the school calendar; it is a declaration of principles and a commitment to the holistic development of our students. We will continue working to ensure that every day is an opportunity to build a more peaceful and compassionate world, starting in the classroom.
