The fourth-grade students of the school have won first prize at the "Proyecta Alicante" Educational Film Festival. They won with their short film "Cinema," made using stop-motion animation.
The group of students received the award last weekend, coinciding with the closing of the Festival, which ran from February 9th to 18th. In addition to this award, their short film was screened throughout the week before the feature films and documentaries.
The students work with their teacher Roxy Zamora on audiovisuals in the classroom and have already had experiences in the world of cinema by participating in dubbing workshops.
The Stop Motion technique creates a film through a succession of still images to which animation is applied through a subtle modification.
The eThe audiovisual environment in which students of the digital age were born motivates them and its inclusion in the classroom helps them to learn better.
