Last weekend, Doctors David Perkins and Robert Swartz, leading figures in the field of educational innovation, led a course on thinking routines and skills for the entire educational community. Over two intensive days, they presented and analyzed examples of lessons and units based on the project of Thought-Based Learning (TBL) of the Center for Teaching Thinking and enriched with the use of techniques of The Visible Thinking Project of the Harvard University's Project Zero.

The more than 100 attendees who didn't want to miss these workshops received materials related to lesson design and had the opportunity to develop their own ideas for using the techniques presented to foster deep learning based on effective thinking in their classes. It was also a great opportunity to interact personally with Perkins and Swartz, two of the leading thinkers of recent times whose vision of education is increasingly influencing the methods used by teachers in the classroom.

This workshop was organized by CTT Special Programs and the Lope de Vega International School in Benidorm, the first center in Spain certified in Thinking-Based Learning. It also had the collaboration of the San Francisco de Paula School, where the event was held, AONIA Nueva Educación, and CICAE (Association of Private and Independent Schools).
