Four high school students participate in the XVII National Session of the European Parliament Model held in León.
During Friday, February 24 and Monday, February 27, the seventeenth session of the MEP (Model European Parliament) took place in León, a city considered the cradle of world parliamentarism.
Our 1th-grade students Anaïs Nieva, Quianyu Ye, Tobías Franco, and Pedro Ramírez were the outstanding representatives of the school at this event, enjoying an unforgettable experience for everyone, both academically and personally. Our students far exceeded expectations, placing among the top 100 selected from 1500 applicants across Spain.
Participants discussed current European Union issues at the Peñacorada school in León, which hosted the 17th session of the Model European Parliament, organized by the San Patricio Foundation. They worked in committees, addressing topics such as the refugee crisis in the Foreign Affairs Committee, corporate transparency in the EU in the Employment Committee, the European arms trade in the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee, and gender discrimination in the workplace in the Gender Equality Committee.
