We are pleased to announce that Carlos García Hernández, karate teacher at the Lope de Vega Club as an extracurricular activity, has been nominated as Outstanding Athlete of the 2024/2025 Seasonat the upcoming Benidorm Sports Gala. This recognition highlights an exemplary sporting career and a constant commitment to excellence.
A role model both on and off the mat
Carlos García Hernández combines his teaching work with a distinguished sporting career in the sport of Karate Kata, within the category Master 51-55 yearsHis dedication, perseverance and passion for this sport have led him to achieve important results in regional and national competitions during the last two seasons.
Among his most outstanding achievements are:
- 3rd place in the 2025 Spanish Championship, held in San Fernando (Cadiz).
- Champion of the Valencian Community 2025, in the championship held in Moncofa (Castellón).
- Champion of the Valencian Community 2024, held in Cheste (Valencia).
- 3rd place in the 2024 Spanish Championship, held in Ortuella (Vizcaya).
- 3rd place in the 5th Spanish Styles Cup 2025, in the Master category.
- 3rd place in the 4th Spanish Styles Cup 2024, in the Master category.
- 3rd place in the 1st Round of the National Junior, Under-21 and Veterans League 2024, in the Master category.
These results reflect not only an extraordinary competitive level, but also a constant dedication to training and personal improvement, values that he transmits daily to our students.
An example for the entire educational community
Carlos's nomination is a source of pride for the entire Lope de Vega community. Having sports professionals as mentors greatly enriches our students, who find in them relatable role models of effort, commitment, and passion for achieving their goals.
