Óscar Cortina, the Language teacher at Lope de Vega school, has just published his first book, Black BishopA crime novel set in contemporary Madrid. The physical book, printed on paper with a classic binding, costs 18 euros and can be purchased online from the publisher Bubok at the following link: http://www.bubok.es/libros/221377/Alfil-Negro

The following synopsis can be read on the back cover of the book: “The glint of the weapon was reflected in the old thief’s eyes. Isidro Caballero couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It had been difficult to open the stolen briefcase, since the combination was four digits instead of the usual three. However, he hadn’t expected to see what he held in his hands: a sniper rifle disassembled into four pieces, along with a series of documents stored in a black folder.” Thus begins the plot that ensnares its protagonist, a gentleman pickpocket, in a police investigation on the streets of Madrid, where not everything is as it seems and heroes aren’t always on the winning side.

This book was already a finalist for the award Getafe crime novelAlthough it has only now been made available to the general public, the online publisher Bubok is handling distribution. The book can only be purchased through their website, and once ordered, it will be delivered directly to your home.
