High school student Tobías Franco played a prominent role in the 18th national session of the MEP (Model European Parliament), held over the weekend in León. Specifically, he was appointed Chair of one of the five committees formed during the session, which represent the workings of the European Parliament.
Tobias was selected last year to participate in the 17th National Session of the MEP representing the Valencian Community. His outstanding performance, effective communication skills, and teamwork abilities were so impressive that the competition organizers have chosen him to chair one of the five working committees for this year's edition.
This year, over one hundred young people from all over Spain participated. The MEP's objective is to familiarize them with how the EU works, fostering a sense of European identity and culture. constructive parliamentary debateThrough the reenactment of parliamentary sessions among students at the school, regional, national, and European levels, they can express their ideas, listen to others, engage in dialogue and debate, and reach consensus on various current issues. Their final conclusions are presented to the European Parliament.
