Club Deportivo Lope de Vega wins two awards in the 9th Benidorm Sports Gala held last Friday, March 31st, at the Benidorm Cultural Center.
Karate and 8-a-side football
The gala honors the best individual and team athletes of the 2021-22 season. Club Deportivo Lope de Vega won two awards, one individual and one team. In the individual category, Carmen García, a student at Lope de Vega International School, was honored in the girls' children's karate kata category. And in the team category, the Under-8 A football team received the league championship award.

The 9th Benidorm Sports Gala brought together numerous attendees – athletes and their families – who filled the venue and was attended by the city's mayor, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, and numerous members of the municipal corporation.
The gala was opened by the Councilor for Sports, who highlighted the great importance of local sport in Benidorm, with more than 74 clubs and over 3.000 registered athletes who use municipal facilities weekly. Cebreros emphasized the “effort not only of the athletes, but also of the parents, grandparents, etc., who accompany and encourage them every day.”
Sports activities and federated teams
