Education

Primary

A unique experience

Primary Stage

____________

With an extended timetable that exceeds the compulsory curriculum by more than 270 hours per year, our Primary Education is taught in Spanish and English, languages in which all areas of learning are conveyed.

Experiential learning is the fundamental axis of our teaching methodology. Our students become involved in their own learning without even realizing it. Through action, they use all their senses, they reason in a natural way and work on their critical thinking.

methodology

___________________

The student is the main protagonist of their learning. The experiential learning methodology favours the assimilation of knowledge through contact with concrete and tangible experiences, making a complete and real immersion in a concrete reality;

Under the “learning by doing” method, real-life scenarios are provided in which students are confronted with situations and challenges that allow them to acquire knowledge and skills through experience;

technology

___________________

Technological tools and Internet connectivity in all classrooms allow for highly interactive curricular programmes in all subjects and contribute to great pedagogical enrichment;

From 5th grade onwards we follow the Ipad project in “one to one” mode (one device for each student), obtaining great results.

language and mathematics plan

___________________

Of particular relevance at this stage are the Integrated Language Plan, the Science and Research Programme, the development of mathematical competence from an innovative point of viewThe training in higher thinking skills and the adoption of healthy habits that teach them to take care of their mind and body;

languages

___________________

It is also the time when they start to measure their progress in languages and have the opportunity to certify it with internationally recognised external examinations through Trinity College, Cambridge University or, in the case of foreign students, also the Instituto Cervantes, of which the school is an Official Examination Centre.

We teach to think and be creative

___________________

Learning is done through experiential experiences (“learning by doing”), which has a greater impact on students, helping them to better internalize the contents. Through project work and cooperative work, they acquire the ability to think critically and creatively, to communicate effectively and to make decisions. In addition, they know how to apply the acquired knowledge to solve real problems.

We work on multiple intelligences because we know that each student is different. We help them to discover and enhance all their talents.
