NEXT OPEN DAY MARCH 25TH, OPEN ENROLLMENT

A group of Swedish teachers visits the Lope de Vega school to learn about its methodology.

For a week, the school hosted six Swedish teachers from Ramsta School. This visit is part of a new Erasmus+ project for the exchange of experiences between teachers. This two-year project (2018-2020) will see teachers from Ramsta School (Uppsala, Sweden) and Lope de Vega School (Benidorm, Spain) exchange training and experience in teaching thinking skills, thus combining two leading methodologies in contemporary education: Socratic Dialogue and Thinking-Based Learning. Both methods aim to teach students to think effectively using critical and creative thinking, thereby becoming tolerant, respectful, and open-minded citizens with the necessary tools to solve any problem or make sound decisions.
Over the past few days, the teachers have been able to observe how teaching takes place in the classrooms of the Lope de Vega school, with sessions scheduled for various grade levels. They have also learned about Spanish culture and the city of Benidorm. Among the activities, the following stand out: Visit to Benidorm City Hall, where they were received by the First Deputy Mayor, Ms. Ana Pellicer.
