Throughout this course, the Primary Stage is developing its "Nature Learning Program".
This program includes various activities designed to raise students' awareness of the importance of caring for the planet we live on and to foster an appreciation for nature. These range from classroom activities to field trips to explore the natural environment around them.
Reforestation
Last February, as part of the "Nature Learning Program," reforestation was a key topic. First and second grade students made clay balls in class, filling them with thyme and rosemary seeds. The following day, during their nature field trip, they threw these balls in the Serra Gelada Natural Park. In this fun activity, they contributed to the reforestation of the area.
The hairstyles that can be seen in the photographs correspond to the "crazy hairstyle" theme that took place during carnival week.
Second outing in nature
If the first outing within this program The students went to the park next to the school; on this second outing to nature they visited the Natural Park of the Serra Geladawhich characterizes the landscape of the municipality of Benidorm. There they were able to observe the native fauna, use their insect observation kits, and throw the balls of thyme and rosemary seeds that they had previously made in class. They also participated in group activities and had lunch in the countryside.
Furthermore, the outing was used to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our planet clean and conserving nature. In this way, we at the school strive to ensure that our children are the change we want to see in the world.
