Throughout last week, six Swedish teachers from Ramsta Skola in Uppsala (Sweden) were at the Lope de Vega International School receiving training in TBL (Thinking Based Learning), one of the College's flagship methodologies in which they are also trainers.
During the week there have been different meetings, group dynamics, scheduled observations in the classrooms, work with the students and, as a final touch to the visit; the subsequent delivery of accreditation diplomas.
The meeting is part of the program Erasmus+ «Building Skillful Thinking in Children+"in which the Lope de Vega school has participated for several years, both as a host and visiting center. Through these meetings, teachers can share educational and conceptual experiences and subsequently apply them to their teaching practice."
While Swedish teachers have been training in the Thinking-Based Learning (TBL) method at the Benidorm center, teachers at Lope de Vega have been doing the same, throughout these years of exchange, in the Socratic method of learning. Both methods aim to teach students to think skillfully using critical and creative thinking, thus becoming tolerant, respectful, open-minded citizens with the necessary tools to solve any problem or make sound decisions in their daily lives.
