The facilities of the Lope de Vega International School will host the different matches in which 12 teams will take part.
The courts of the Lope de Vega International School are hosting the 1st Carmen Pérez González Regional 8-a-side Football Tournament. In this first edition, the tournament has the participation of different teams from all over the Marina Baixa region, framed in the categories Benjamín and Alevín.
The Carmen Pérez González 8-a-side Football Tournament runs from Monday 28th to 30th June. A total of 12 teams are taking part. On Monday and Tuesday it will be the turn of the Benjamins, while on Wednesday it will be the turn of the first year Alevines.
This Monday Atlético Benidorm won the first place after beating Altea in a penalty shoot-out.
This Tuesday the Benjamins of CF Foietes, FC Atlético Benidorm, C.F.U.E Finestrat, FC Atlético Benidorm and CD Lope de Vega will play against each other.
According to those responsible for this first edition, “the idea is to expand the tournament year after year. We hope that the next edition can be played at a national level and then an international 8-a-side tournament with teams from different countries”.
The President of the Sports Club and head of the Lope de Vega International School, Vicente Fuster, highlighted “our firm commitment to sport. At the school we are passionate about sport and thanks to this enthusiasm we want to promote sporting activity at all levels. An example of this is the creation of this 1st Carmen Pérez González 8-a-side Football Tournament”.
