Primary Education

We teach children to think and be creative

With an extended timetable comprising more than 270 hours in addition to those in the mandatory curriculum every year, our primary education programme is taught in Spanish and English and these languages used in all learning areas.

We use the “learning by doing” method which has a great impact on students’ abilities, enabling them to better absorb the contents. Project-based, cooperative work gives them critical thinking and creative skills, the ability to communicate and take decisions. They also learn how to apply their knowledge to solve real problems.

We work multiple intelligences because we know that each student is different and we help you to discover and encourage all their talents.

At this stage, we work with Integrated Language Plan, scientific and research programmes, development of the mathematical competence from an innovative perspective, training in the higher-order thinking skills and the adoption of healthy habits to teach them to take care of their minds and bodies, all important facets.

This is also when we start measuring children’s progress in languages and we give them the opportunity to certify their skills through internationally recognised external testing through Trinity CollegeCambridge Universityor, in the case of foreign students, the Cervantes Institute, for which our school is an official examination centre.

Technological tools and Internet connectivity in all classrooms allow us to use highly interactive curricular programmes in all subjects and contribute to a great educational enrichment. The iPad project starts in year 5 on a “one-to-one” basis (one device per student) and gives excellent results.
